My name is Meg Montford, Executive Career Coach and President of Abilities Enhanced®. I help you make friends with change to manage your career for life. Services include career coaching, job search training, and professional resume writing customized for individuals, groups, and organizations. As the chief coaching officer, I administrate and coordinate all programs and services to meet your career development, career management, and career change needs. Whether you want to change jobs or change careers, we can help you make it happen! With my team of highly qualified and certified Professional Resume Writers and Career Coaches, we meet all project deadlines and ensure your customer satisfaction. Many clients have called me their career partner, their secret weapon, even their angel!

Credentialed as as Master Certified Career Coach (through Career Coach Institute) and a Career Management Fellow (by the Institute for Career Certification International), I have also earned the Certified Professional Resume Writer (through the Professional Association of Career Coaches & Resume Writers). In 2005, I studied under Laura Berman Fortgang, MCC, and became authorized to deliver her program, "Now What? 90 Days to a New Life Direction." My degree is a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Additional training includes program completion with Corporate Coach University. Coaching ahead of the curve, I have helped people conquer career-related challenges since 1986 as a recruiter, employment consultant, business developer and career coach. My boutique career service launched in 1999.

Contributing to 19 nationally published books, I have also authored many career-related print and online articles. In 2006, I collaborated with several other coaches to publish the book, Power Tools: Top Executive Coaches Put You on the Fast Track to Success. My content-rich blog, Career Chaos, has attracted readers since its inception in 2005. The national and local media have quoted me as a careers expert in publications as the Wall Street Journal, Sales & Marketing Management Magazine, Diversity Inc., Kansas City Star, CBS Money Watch, Yahoo! Hot Jobs, and ExecuNet publications. I have been frequently interviewed and featured on local television programs as Kansas City's WDAF-TV morning news. chose me to coach the executive winner of the their 2001 sweepstakes.

Social media is my newest business ally. My LinkedIn profile directly connects me to over 700 people from all walks of life from around the world. My daily Twitter activity has me approaching 10,000 tweets and 4000 followers. I am a firm believer that social media is a tool for all job seekers and career changers to embrace as part of their job search strategy.

Promoting networking and community involvement as key to professional success, I serve as an Officer of the Board for the Association of Career Professionals International. This follows my role as President-elect of the ACP International-USA Board and five years of leadership roles at local chapter and USA Board levels. My additional memberships include: International Coach Federation (ICF), Institute of Career Certification International (ICCI), Heartland Coaches (an ICF chapter), and the Central Exchange of Kansas City.

In my spare time, I enjoy antiquing, RV travel with my husband, and walking my dog, Cal, a Chinese Crested Powder Puff. I am the proud mother of two adult sons who are healthy, happy and self-sufficient. I lead my life and manage my business according to my personal and professional mantra, “Believe in yourself and everything is possible.” Printed on a postcard above my desk, this has inspired me for over 25 years.
